Thumb arthritis

Arthritis can affect any joint in the body. This includes the joints of the shoulder and elbow and the joints between the 29 bones of the wrist, hand, and fingers. Osteoarthritis, also known as “wear and tear” arthritis, is a degenerative joint disease in which the smooth cartilage that covers the bone surfaces at the joints wears down over time, leading to pain, stiffness and swelling.

We provide non-surgical treatment options, including splinting, anti-inflammatory medication and injections. We also provide innovative surgical approaches such as arthroscopy, osteotomy, joint fusion and joint replacement.
